Den Haag Lacrosse was founded in the fall of 2005 when two former players of Amsterdam Lions decided it was time to bring lacrosse to Den Haag (The Hague). The two founders are experienced lacrosse players and seek not only to build up a strong club in Den Haag that can compete with other teams in and outside of the Netherlands but also to spread the sport of lacrosse to as many people as possible in Den Haag. Check our "Den Haag Lacrosse - Contact" section to find out when Den Haag practices and if you re up for trying the fastest sport on two feet and what is considered to the fastest growing sport in the world, drop us a note and come out and try lacrosse. In the summer of 2009 Den Haag Lacrosse merged with the Den Haag Locos with the greatest club in the Netherlands as a result.

A few questions have already come in, so we have put together the following FAQ:

Q: Is the club open to everyone?
A: Absolutely, whether you are completely new to the game or someone who have played before you can play for Den Haag Lacrosse. It also doesn't matter if you were born and raised in the city or if you are just here for a few months working/studying - lacrosse is not only a great and fun sport but also a really good way to meet new people. At this point the club has approximately 50 players. If your interested, just drop us an email at .

Q: Do you have a women's team?
A: In the Spring of 2006 Den Haag added a womens team. The team has got off to a great start and is expected to follow the success of the men's team on the field as well as off the field.

Q: Is there a lacrosse league in the Netherlands
A: Yes, the Dutch Lacrosse League (men) consists of 14 teams, divided in two divisions, among which is Den Haag. The Women Dutch Lacrosse League consists of seven teams, among which is Den Haag. In addition to that Den Haag will be traveling to tournaments and the club is considering hosting an event on home turf as well

Q: Where can I buy equipment?
A: Until you know if lacrosse is really "your" sport you can borrow equipment from the club - after that you will be assisted in terms of where and how to purchase your own equipment, not a big deal but some dealers are better/cheaper than other.
